The Submissions

Overview of the Submissions

The Panel received 5,259 written submissions from individuals and groups, reflecting a diversity of views. The conversations demonstrated that many individuals and groups were discussing their views with whānau, friends, iwi and communities. Many individual and group submissions represent the views of a range of people or represent views that are still developing as people continue to inform themselves and participate in conversations about our constitutional arrangements.

Individuals’ submissions are grouped alphabetically in batches. Each batch contains multiple submissions unless an individual submission is particularly large. For example, “Abbott – Allan” includes Abbott, Abel, Aberdeen, Abu Jwaied, etc. Group submissions have been uploaded individually.

To protect submitters’ privacy personal details such as addresses and phone numbers have been removed from submissions. Information that might be subject to copyright has also been removed.
